Terms and Conditions

Flooring & Bed Depot – Ebbw Vale

 

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all sales of products and services by Flooring & Bed Depot (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

 

2. Products Covered

These terms apply to the sale and supply of:

  • Flooring (including carpets, laminate, vinyl, LVT, SPC (Stone Plastic Composite flooring), and accessories)

  • Beds and mattresses

  • Sofas and seating

  • Bedroom furniture (including wardrobes, drawers, and fitted items)

 

3. Orders and Acceptance

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

  • A contract is formed only when we confirm your order in writing or by receipt.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion.

 

4. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

  • Prices may change without notice prior to order confirmation.

  • Full payment or a deposit (as agreed) is required before delivery or installation.

  • Outstanding balances must be paid prior to delivery or on agreed terms.

 

5. Deposits and Cancellations

  • Deposits are non-refundable once goods have been ordered from suppliers.

  • Cancellation of bespoke, made-to-measure, or special-order items is not permitted once production has begun.

  • Standard items may be cancelled at our discretion and may incur a restocking fee.

 

6. Delivery

  • Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed.

  • We are not liable for delays outside our control (e.g., supplier delays, transport issues).

  • You must ensure suitable access to the property for delivery.

  • Failed deliveries due to access issues may incur additional charges.

 

7. Installation (Flooring & Furniture)

  • Installation services may be arranged by us through independent third-party flooring fitters.

  • These fitters are not employees or agents of Flooring & Bed Depot.

  • Any agreement for fitting services is between you and the third-party fitter.

  • We accept no responsibility or liability for fitting errors, workmanship issues, or any damage caused during installation by third-party fitters.

  • Subfloor preparation, room clearance, and removal of old flooring/furniture are not included unless specified.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure the installation area is suitable and cleared.

 

8. Measurements and Fitting

  • Customer-provided measurements are accepted at your own risk.

  • If we carry out measurements, we accept responsibility for accuracy.

  • Slight variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur due to manufacturing differences.

 

9. Returns and Refunds

  • Packs of flooring may only be returned if they are unopened, undamaged, and accompanied by valid proof of purchase (receipt).

  • Returns will only be accepted if the flooring product is still part of our current stocked range.

  • Non-faulty items may only be returned at our discretion.

  • Custom, made-to-order, or special-order items are non-returnable.

  • Hygiene-sensitive items we sell, including mattresses and pillows, are non-returnable unless faulty.

  • Approved returns may be subject to a handling or restocking fee.

  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

 

10. Faulty or Damaged Goods

  • You must inspect goods upon delivery and notify us within 48 hours of any damage or defects.

  • Faulty goods will be repaired, replaced, or refunded in accordance with your statutory rights.

  • Claims made outside this period may not be accepted.

 

11. Warranty

  • Manufacturer warranties apply where provided.

  • Warranty claims are subject to proper use and care of the product.

  • Normal wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage are not covered.

 

12. Care and Maintenance

  • You are responsible for following care instructions provided for flooring, furniture, and bedding.

  • Failure to maintain products correctly may void warranties.

 

13. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

  • Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

 

14. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to supply chain disruptions, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

 

15. Title of Goods

  • Ownership of goods remains with us until full payment has been received.

  • Risk passes to you upon delivery.

 

16. Privacy

We will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and only for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

 

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
